Teen Book Club (OFFSITE)

Teen Book Club (OFFSITE)

Saturday, November 23

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Like books? Enjoy movies? We’re discussing both at our Teen Book Club!

Every month we’ll meet to catch-up over coffee & discuss a YA title that’s either available now or coming soon to the silver screen. We’ll talk about similarities and differences, the cast or, better yet, who WE would cast in the lead roll. All are welcome, even if you don’t complete the book–you can still participate in the discussion! The Teen Book Club will meet at Common Grounds, a coffee shop where we can sink in some comfy chairs and grab a drink! (Don’t forget to bring cash for some coffee, tea, or their killer chocolate cake!)

Want to join us? Here’s our Upcoming Schedule (Click each date below to sign up!):

Think we should watch the film? Have ideas for our next book? Grab a friend, pick up a book & bring your ideas, we can’t wait to hear them! Have questions? Comments? Suggestions? Want to reserve a copy of an upcoming title? Email the Teen Services Librarian, Miss Sarah, today @ smallory@blackstonelibrary.org.

Teen Movie Matinee

Teen Movie Matinee

Saturday, November 23

2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

All middle, high school, and college-aged teens are invited to join us in our new Teen Space for a monthly movie matinee. This month we’re watching: The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

Arthur Dent is having a pretty bad day. First, bulldozers tried to knock down his house. Then aliens tried to blow up his planet. Luckily, Arthur’s best friend–Ford Prefect–is also an alien, so at least together they can survive Earth’s total annihilation. Join these two hitchhikers–along with President of the Universe Zaphod Beeblebrox, and sexy refugee Trillian–as they make their way across the stars, seeking the meaning of life, the universe, and a decent cup of tea.

Space is limited for this event, so make sure you sign up for free tickets HERE.
