1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Using the Enviroscape Coastal Model, participants will learn about point and non-point sources of pollution and the effects on the ocean and coastal communities. Participants experience the effects of pollution including above ground pollution through simulated rain experiments, as well as groundwater contamination through observing leaking underground storage tanks. Everyone will also take part in an oil spill simulation and attempt to clean up the spill near the simulated shore.
