In this 4-part class, you’ll learn how to create a resume, search for and apply for jobs online, and prepare for interviews.

Mueller Report Reading Group

Saturday, October 26

Read and discuss the Mueller report with retired English teacher, Peter Craig. Over the course of 10 weekly meetings, each with reading assignments of approximately forty pages, we’ll engage in thorough discussion and share insights. Peter Craig has a background of teaching mostly high school English for thirty-five years with no specialized training in law or government, but he found the 448 page Mueller report quite readable and compelling. This group aims to reach a deeper understanding of the report, unfiltered by media and political rhetoric.

Our 3D printing instructor Jim Davis will be on hand to help if you get stuck, so all skill levels are welcome!

“Soldiers of a Foreign War”: A Fireside Author Talk with Charles McNair

Join us for some light refreshments and a fascinating fireside presentation by local author and Vietnam War veteran, Charles McNair. He’ll be discussing his book Soldiers of a Foreign War, the culmination of almost 45 years of effort. Soldiers of a Foreign War tells the story of the combatants, civilians and mindless policies which drove them all through a futile war, and the American and Vietnamese boys who were called upon, often unwillingly, to fight by their respective governments on alien soil.
