F2G2 (First Friday Game Group) is a friendly board game group that meets on the first Friday of each month at the Blackstone Library to play a wide variety of tabletop board and card games. Never played anything other than Monopoly or Scrabble? No worries, we’ve got you covered! We provide and teach the games. With nearly 100 games in our collection, we’ve got something for everyone! Lock Picking for Beginners

A lock is really just a puzzle waiting to be solved. Using transparent pin-tumbler padlocks and some basic picks, I’ll teach you a variety of techniques for opening basic locks. This will be a hands-on session. There will be some legal talk, a demonstration, and then plenty of time to try to pick as many locks as you can. Taught by Jim Davis.

Sewing 101: Tote Bags

Join us for a 3 hour introductory sewing class.  You’ll learn sewing basics such as how to read a pattern and how to choose the best fabric for your project. You’ll leave knowing how to make your own unique tote bag in the fabric of your choice! Taught by Sara Normand. Space is limited. Registration required.

We encourage you to bring your own sewing machine if you have one. If not, you may borrow one of ours.

Please bring the following materials to the sewing class:

½ yd of 45” cotton fabric for the outer bag  – cotton is best for beginners but home dec can also be used.

½ yd of 45” cotton fabric for the lining

½” yd of either med.weight fusible interfacing or cotton quilt batting (if you want your tote padded, if not – skip this)

42” of cotton webbing or a Grosgrain Ribbon 1’ – 1 ½” wide for the straps. If you want the straps to match the bag, add ¼ yd to one of the cotton fabrics.
