Composers in Love: Piano Recital

Concert pianist Alice Michahelles illustrates and performs romantic works dedicated to the composer’s beloved ones. Music by Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Frederic Chopin, George Gershwin and others.

 Alice has appeared in recitals and chamber music concerts in Europe, the Middle East and Chile, taking part in international festivals, among them the Eilat Chamber Music Festival ( Israel), Festival Bled ( Slowakia), Festival Internazionale di Noto ( Italy), Festival Internazionale di Ascoli Piceno ( Italy). Her repertoire goes from Bach to contemporary music, with a particular interest for the romantic period and Felix Mendelssohn. Her first appearance in Blackstone Memorial Library was September 10th, 2016. Alice Michahelles  received her musical education at Conservatorio “L.Cherubini” in Florence, Italy, and at Musikhochschule in Vienna, Austria. She teaches Piano at Conservatorio “Santa Cecilia” in Rome, Italy, and  Music Appreciation and Piano Duets at Marlborough Summer College, UK. As a composer, she has dedicated herself mostly to Children’s Opera and Piano Duets.
