Teacher Assistance Service
The Teacher Assistance Service allows teachers to submit requests to library staff for collections of items for use in the classroom or in the library. Library staff will do their best to select classroom-appropriate materials by matching the criteria given by the teacher, such as specific subject areas, reading level and format.
Selected items may come from the Blackstone Library's collection or other area libraries, so it is essential to receive the completed form 4 weeks prior to when the items are needed so that library staff can guarantee a robust selection.
In order to take advantage of the Teacher Assistance Service, teachers must complete our Teacher Assistance Form, which can be:
- filled out online, saved and emailed as an attachment to the Youth Services Department
- printed out, filled in and hand-delivered to the Youth Services Department on the top floor
- downloaded as a Word document, saved and emailed as an attachment or hand-delivered to the Youth Services Department on the top floor
