2017 Summer Reading Program: Build a Better World

This Summer we are Going to Make a Difference!

The Youth Services Department is mixing up our summer reading program by pushing the traditional reading log aside and creating a take home game board that will ask participants to complete a series of challenges throughout the summer – some will be reading based, while others may ask you to attend a program, write a poem or even listen to a book on CD – reinforcing that we can learn in a variety of ways.

Participants will check-in weekly with their game board to show which challenges they have completed. Once you reach the end your name will be thrown into a grab bag prize drawing that will be pulled once a week. Winners will be contacted by phone.

Those that complete the game board will be invited to take part in an end of summer reading celebration – pizza included.

If you complete the ENTIRE game board (meaning every challenge) before summer reading ends, you will be entered into a grand prize drawing. Winners of this challenge will also be contacted by phone.

Be sure to check our calendar for information about exciting summer reading programs that will have everyone building all summer long!
