2018 Summer Reading Program: Libraries Rock

This Summer we are Going to be Loud and Proud!

The Youth Services Department is mixing up our summer reading program by pushing the traditional reading log aside and creating a take home game board that will ask participants to complete a series of challenges throughout the summer – some will be reading based, while others may ask you to attend a program, write a poem or even listen to a book on CD – reinforcing that we can learn in a variety of ways. All you need is a die!

Participants will check-in weekly with their game board to show which challenges they have completed and receive stickers on the spaces they accomplished. Once you reach the finish line your name will be thrown into a grab bag prize drawing. Winners will be contacted by phone.

If you complete the ENTIRE game board (meaning every challenge) before summer reading ends, you will receive an additional prize and also be entered into a grand prize drawing.

Be sure to check our calendar for information about exciting summer reading programs that will have everyone moving and grooving all summer long!
