Library of Things

Calling all Makers and Do-ers! Learn, Connect, and Create with the Library of Things

The Library of Things is a collection of non-traditional library items that complement the Blackstone’s mission to provide access to information, resources, and unique shared experiences to help ensure Branford is an educated and enriched community.

The Library of Things began as the MakerLab, with a generous gift from the Friends of the Blackstone Library. The MakerLab grew to include items that offer hands-on experiences in making and learning, both with items reserved for use within the library but also borrowable. E-mail things@blackstonelibrary.org to make an appointment to use the equipment.

We are now expanding the list of borrowable items, providing you with free access to tools, technology, and materials that allow you to learn new skills, connect with other makers and ideas, or create something of your very own. Each item includes instructions and “how to” books with starter projects that anyone can jump into.

Welcome to the Library of Things!
